R E Wilkinson: Ruth is an illustrator working in Edinburgh, whose great loves are hard sci-fi, comics, fantasy novels, philosophy, obscure cabaret bands, and worldbuilding, and whose worst habits are staying in the studio until she forgets what the sun looks like, and licking her brush during painting. In the course of years of gouache work, scientists believe that the inside of the Ruth has become painted as many colours as her exciting hair. Ruth has a BA(Hons) in Illustration from the University of Lincoln, an MA in Illustration from the Edinburgh College of Art, and is hoping to begin PhD research in Comic Studies in the next few years.
